YBA Heritage PH100 Phonostage

While many of today’s lower cost phono stages are physically very small, they took the decision with the YBA Heritage PH100 to produce a narrow but full depth product. Too often they see cables that are either plainly visible or alternatively if placed closer to the rear of an amplifier, the weight of the cables can destabilize the phono stage.

Adding a phono preamplifier to the Heritage range has come as a direct response to repeated consumer demand.

Their very well priced PH100 is both sleek and functional in its design and caters for moving magnet, moving coil plus high output moving coil cartridges. It is worth noting that the selector control on the front panel has only two options (MM or MC). The circuitry has been designed so that it will automatically sense which type of moving coil cartridge is being used and settings will adjust accordingly provided the correct selection is made from the toggle switch on the rear panel.

Featuring YBA’s own moving coil transformer, the design is uniquely suited to meet the different characteristics of moving coil cartridges.

The YBA Heritage PH100 phono pre-amplifier has been designed as a high quality phono stage to cater for moving magnet and moving coil users – in fact, this is the only selection you need to make via the front mounted toggle switch on the front fascia with this phono stage – everything else is auto-sensing. This makes the PH100 the perfect high quality phono stage for those that don’t understand the confusing numbers.

The rear panel of the YBA Heritage PH100 phono stage is very simple. It provides two pairs of analogue RCA inputs to cater for moving magnet and moving coil cartridges.

A rear toggle switch selects between normal and high output Moving Coil cartridges.

A pair of pre-outputs then connect to a line level input of the amplifier.
